MARIPOSA – The Mariposa Yosemite Rotary will once again host an afternoon of fine art, wine tasting and sweet rides at the Art, Wine & Wheels Festival on Saturday, May 25, on the lawn at the historic Mariposa County Courthouse. In the heart of Mariposa, underneath the trees, it’s a perfect setting in which to enjoy local artists’ works while tasting great foothill wines. This is the 15th year for the annual event.

The fun kicks off at 11 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. in the evening with different 30 vendors and music by Blue Skies Jazz Trio. Entry to the event is free and for $15 attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass and 5 tickets to enjoy different tastings at any of the featured wine booths. Here’s the Facebook page for the Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Art & Wine Festival.

Local wineries and Sierra Cider will offer tastings, while guests may choose to nosh from Charles Street, MCHS Band Boosters, or Bo Peep Hot Dogs.

The numerous artist booths on display cover a broad range of artistic mediums – including painting, sculpture, pottery, beading, jewelry, woodworking, photography weaving and texture art.

Get there early to join the raffle containing regional prizes and cash giveaways. Be sure to vote for the People Choice awards and help choose the winners from 20+ vintage automobiles. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be available throughout the event, which is a fundraiser for the Mariposa Yosemite Rotary Club planned with the assistance of the Mariposa Arts Council.
