Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Feb. 3

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Jan. 28 to Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019.

Coarsegold theft from vehicle
On Monday, Jan. 28 at 8:23 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucy Lane regarding theft from a vehicle. A report was written, evidence obtained and case closed.

Oakhurst obstruction and resisting arrest
On Monday, Jan. 28 at 5:34 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-49 and Junction Drive regarding a male running from a female in what appeared to be some type of domestic dispute. The couple was last seen running to a business shopping area near CA-41 and CA-49 in Oakhurst. A deputy arrived in the area but was unable to locate the couple. The deputy was then dispatched to a business located within the 40000 block of CA-49, regarding a male who had locked himself in the restroom and was refusing to come out. His wife claimed he was suicidal and they needed help. Upon arrival the deputy was informed the couple had left that business on foot. Deputies located the couple in the adjacent parking lot. During the investigation the female became belligerent and obstructed the investigation. When the deputy attempted to detain the female in a patrol vehicle the female resisted and was placed into custody. The female was also found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. She was transported to the Madera County Jail. This case has been forwarded to the Madera County DA’s office for the filing of related charge.

Oakhurst possible assault with a deadly weapon
On Monday, Jan. 28 at 8:28 p.m. a deputy received a report of a possible assault with a deadly weapon on the 50000 block of Hidden Falls Road. Case to be suspended.

North Fork domestic disturbance
On Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 5:43 a.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a family disturbance. Upon arrival deputies determined an individual was intoxicated, had several misdemeanor warrants, and had also assaulted another subject at the location. The individual was arrested and booked at Madera County DOC on the related charges. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County
District Attorneys Office for charges to be filed.

Oakhurst theft of property
On Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 8:53 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 41000 block of Hwy 41 regarding theft of property.

Wishon coroner’s report
On Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 6:12 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 35000 block of Highland Drive East regarding a report of an unattended death. At the time of the initial investigation the cause of death could not be determined. This case as been forwarded to the Sheriff’s Detective Coroner’s Division for review and follow up investigation.

Coarsegold purse with beanie hats stolen
On Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 6:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Shah Lane regarding burglary to two vehicles. The victim advised that a purse with several beanie hats were stolen. The victim requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

O’Neals burglary
On Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 7:09 a.m. was dispatched to the 47000 block of Road 200 regarding a burglary to a storage container. Several chain saws were stolen and possibly ammunition. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Coarsegold stolen wallet
On Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 12:47 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a stolen wallet. The victim advised that her EBT card was stolen along with other items. She requested a report for documentation. Refer report suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 2:48 p.m. the Madera Sheriff POP Team contacted a wanted male subject in the 51000 block of Robin Crest Court. During the contact the subject was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. The subject was arrested and booked at Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed.

Oakhurst possession of suspected methamphetamine
On Thursday, Jan. 31 at 12:48 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Road 426 and Golden Ball Drive on a vehicle with expired registration. A search of the vehicle was conducted and the driver was arrested and booked for possession of suspected methamphetamine.

Coarsegold danger to self
On Thursday, Jan. 31 at 9:51 a.m. deputies responded regarding an incomplete 911 call. A subject was placed on a mental health hold and a report was written.

Ahwahnee unlawful sexual intercourse
On Friday, Feb. 1 at 3:28 a.m. a deputy conducted a check of a vehicle parked alongside Road 600, near Crooks Ranch Road. Two subjects were contacted and found to have engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Madera Department of Corrections.

Coarsegold domestic violence restraining order violation
On Saturday, Feb. 2 at 1:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to take a report of violation of a domestic violence restraining order. The female victim was contacted and several text message showed that the male suspect contacted her several times, which was a violation of the court order. A report was written a forwarded to the Madera County District Office for request of charges against the male suspect.

Coarsegold warrant citation
On Saturday, Feb. 2 at 4:57 p.m. a deputy contacted an individual walking southbound on CA-41 at Safari World Drive. The andividual admitted to having a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and the individual was issued a citation.

North Fork warrants citation
On Saturday, Feb. 2 at 9:38 p.m. a male subject was cited on two misdemeanor warrants on the 33000 bock of Willow Creek Drive. Warrants cleared by citation.

North Fork vandalism
On Saturday, Feb. 2 at 8:18 p.m. deputies responded to the 33000 block of Willow Creek Drive regarding a vandalism. A report was taken.

Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, Feb. 3 at 1:17 a.m. deputies responded to the 46000 block of Road 417 regarding a commercial burglary. Multiple suspects broke into a store and stole various items before fleeing the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. A crime report was written. The investigation is continuing.
