MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Dec. 10, to Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018.
Oakhurst assault
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 12:41 a.m. deputies were dispatched to Victoria Lane regarding a possible verbal domestic. Upon arrival it was determined a male and female engaged in a verbal argument when the male showed up intoxicated. The female did not want anything done and requested the male leave the area. The male was taken to his employer’s residence in North Fork.
Coarsegold violation of domestic violence restraining order
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 1:28 a.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a disturbance. Through investigation a domestic violence restraining order was found to have been violated. and one arrest was made. Forward case for prosecution.
Coarsegold theft
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 8:36 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of CA-41 in regards to a theft investigation. A report was taken.
Bass Lake report of theft
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 9 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 222 regarding a theft. Report written and case closed.
Coarsegold found property
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 8:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Rocking Chair Road in regards to found property. Property was collected and booked for safe-keeping. The owner of the property is not known.
Coarsegold found narcotics paraphernalia
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 11:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to found narcotics paraphernalia. Items are collected and booked for destruction.
Oakhurst coroner’s case
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 12:25 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 632 regarding a coroner’s case. Report written and case closed.
Coarsegold report of domestic violence
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 12:44p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a report of domestic violence. Upon arrival, the involved parties were contacted and interviewed. No arrest was made based on the circumstances. Report taken for documentation only.
North Fork report of child abuse unfounded
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 12:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a report of child abuse. Upon arrival, an investigation was conducted and the allegations were determined to be unfounded. Report taken for documentation only.
Madera County warrant arrest in Mariposa County
On Monday, Dec. 10 at 1:09 p.m. a suspect was arrested in Mariposa County for a warrant out of Madera County. The Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office deputy met at Road 600 and CA-49 where the Madera County Sheriff’s Office deputy received the prisoner. The suspect was transported and booked into DOC without incident.
Coarsegold suspect siphoning gas, taking mother’s car without permission
On Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 12:13 a.m., while conducting proactive checks in the 35000 block of Highway 41, deputies located a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a business. Deputies had been briefed on several crime reports where vehicles were being broken into and gas was stolen. After contacting the subject in the suspicious vehicle it was determined that he was actively siphoning gas from vehicles. The subject was taken into custody and it was later determined he had taken his mother’s vehicle without her permission. The subject was transported to DOC on several misdemeanor charges.
Coarsegold coroner’s case
On Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. a deputy was called to respond to a delayed coroner’s case that occurred in the 44000 block of Wells Circle. The primary physician is stipulating to the decedent’s cause of death and this is a natural death case involving only a coroner’s referral number.
North Fork narcotics
On Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 4:14 p.m. eputies were dispatched to the Oakhurst substation for a report of a narcotics violation. Deputies arrived on scene and made contact with the reporting party and generated a case number. Items were recovered from the reporting party and the case was closed.
Oakhurst sex crime
On Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 6:40 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of Meadow Vista Drive regarding a female juvenile who was found in bed with an adult male at a homeless encampment. The female juvenile was located and turned over to detectives for further investigation of the case. Several items of evidence were located at the encampment and were later collected and booked into evidence. Case to be
forwarded to detectives for further investigation.
North Fork possible domestic altercation
On Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 9:37 a.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to a possible domestic violence altercation. Upon arrival, both parties were contacted. No crime was committed. Report taken for documentation only.
North Fork residential burglary
On Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 8:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Two Hill Road in regards to a residential burglary investigation. Currently, there are no suspect(s).
Oakhurst theft
On Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 2:52 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Woytah Road in Oakhurst regarding theft. Report written, evidence obtained, and case closed.
Ahwahnee subpoena and warrant arrest
On Thursday, Dec. 13 at 1:22 p.m. a deputy attempted to serve a subpoena from the District Attorney’s Office in conjunction with an active bench warrant in the 44000 block of Femmon Ranch Road. There are no charges being requested at this time and this case may be closed.
Oakhurst report of abuse unsubstantiated
On Thursday, Dec. 13 at 6:35 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 regarding a subject who was yelling at and possibly hitting a child. The subject/s were contacted and it was determined that no abuse had occurred. Report written for documentation.
Coarsegold public intoxication
On Thursday, Dec. 13 at 11:07 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding an intoxicated male causing a disturbance and acting aggressively toward security staff. The involved male was arrested and booked for public intoxication. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.
Oakhurst warrant citation
On Friday, Dec. 14 at 12:23 a.m., while on self-initiated patrol, a deputy checked a car observed loitering in the 40000 block of Junction Drive. A male subject was found to have a misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released.
Coarsegold theft
On Saturday, Dec. 15 at 12:03 a.m. a deputy responded to the 35000 block of Wells Road for a reported burglary and theft. A report was taken and suspended due to lack of investigative leads.
Coarsegold criminal threats toward a neighbor
On Saturday, Dec. 15 at 4:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of River Road Way regarding a male suspect who made criminal threats toward a neighbor. It was reported that the suspect stated he was going to get a gun. The male suspect was later located and arrested. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.
Coarsegold found meth pipe
On Sunday, Dec. 16 at 9:18 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of found property. A found glass meth pipe was collected and booked into the Madera County Sheriffs Office substation for destruction.
Coarsegold weapons-related charges, warrants, no license
On Sunday, Dec. 16 at 9:43 p.m. a dehicle stop on Road 416 led to the arrest of two local men for a variety of weapons-related charges, as well as arrests for two warrants and driving without a license. Vehicle was towed.
Oakhurst coroner’s report
On Sunday, Dec. 16 at 4:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of CA-41 for a natural death coroner’s report. Forward case to Chief Deputy Coroner.
