MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from January 21-27, 2020.
Coarsegold – Dispute
On Jan. 21 at 11:41 a.m., deputy responded to a dispatched call in the 47000 block of Cheyenne Road regarding a landlord-tenant dispute and utilities being shut off. An investigation was completed and charges are being requested on the landlord.
Oakhurst – Trespass
On Jan. 21 at 1:41 p.m., deputy dispatched to the 51000 block of South Ponderosa Way regarding trespassing. Report written and closed.
Ahwahnee – Threat
On Jan. 21 at 4:49 p.m., deputy was conducting a patrol check in the 43000 block of Highway 49 and was flagged down by a citizen regarding a threats incident. Case investigated and closed due to no evidence of a crime.
Oakhurst – Child Abuse
On Jan. 22 at 12:09 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Indian Springs Road regarding possible verbal child abuse. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Forward this case to Madera CPS and ICWA for review.

On Jan. 23 at 8:19 a.m., report written to submit items of evidence seized during MADNET investigation
Oakhurst – Coroner Report
On Jan. 23 at 10:57 a.m., dispatched to the 49000 block of River Falls Lane for the report of a coroner case. Report was taken and the decedent was transported to the Madera County Coroner’s Office pending further investigation.
Oakhurst – Warrant arrest
On Jan. 23 at 10:22 p.m., deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Enterprise Drive and CA-49 on a vehicle that was going reverse in the roadway. The male passenger was arrested for outstanding warrants and for possession of drug paraphernalia and booked into the Madera County DOC.
Coarsegold – Assault
On Jan. 23 at 11:06 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a domestic. An investigation was conducted and one arrest was made. Case forwarded to the DA’s Office for charges.
Coarsegold – Fraud
On Jan. 24 at 10:55 a.m., deputies dispatched to the 30000 block of Longview Dr for a report fraud. An investigation was conducted and a report written.
Oakhurst – Motor vehicle stop
On Jan. 24 at 1:06 p.m., deputy conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Victoria Lane. Two subjects leg bailed from the vehicle and one subject was apprehended. One subject was found to have felony warrants out of Madera County and in possession of narcotics. Subject was subsequently arrested and booked into the Madera County Department Of Corrections. Case will be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorneys Office.
Coarsegold – Narcotics
On Jan. 24 at 2:29 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 30000 block of Delaware Rd. for a report of a juvenile possibly being under the influence of marijuana and acting out at home. An investigation was conducted and the juvenile was turned over to his parents.
Coarsegold – Traffic stop
On Jan. 24 at 5:01 p.m., male subject stopped on the 22000 block of Avenue 18 1-2 for driving a vehicle that had been expired since 2017. The driver was arrested and released with a citation for driving on a suspended license and the vehicle was stored. Forwarded to Madera County DA to pursue the charge.
Coarsegold – Danger to self
On Jan. 24 at 4:14 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Moccassin Ct. in regards to a possible suicidal subject. The subject was placed on a W&I 5150 hold and transported to Valley Children’s Hospital.
Coarsegold – Domestic assault
On Jan. 25 at 1:38 a.m., deputy dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane for a report of a domestic violence incident. A male subject was contacted and arrested for domestic violence related charges and booked into the Madera County DOC.
Coarsegold – Coroner report
On Jan. 25 at 7:10 a.m., deputies dispatched to the 29000 block of N. Lilley Way for a report of a medical emergency. Person was deceased from natural causes upon arrival. An investigation was conducted and a coroner’s report written.
Oakhurst – Theft
On Jan. 25 at 12:23 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 49 for a report of two subjects stealing a cart full of groceries and leaving the area. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken.
Coarsegold – Narcotics
On Jan. 26 at 12:03 a.m., deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of CA-41 and Pony Express Lane. The male driver was arrested and issued a citation with a court date for possession of narcotics.
Raymond – Coroner report
On Jan. 26 at 1:13 p.m., corporal dispatched to 26000 Road 407 regarding a coroners case. Report was written.
Coarsegold- Assault
On Jan. 26 at 1:21 p.m., deputy responded to the 30000 block of Revis Road for a report of a domestic disturbance. The male half was arrested and booked at Madera DOC on misdemeanor charges. Case forwarded to DA’s Office for review of charges.
North Fork – Public intoxication
On Jan. 26 at 5:23 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 regarding an intoxicated subject that was found asleep in front of a business. The subject was contacted, arrested and a report was written. Forward this case to Madera DA’s Office for review of charges filed.
Coarsegold – Theft
On Jan. 27 at 1:23 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Highway 41 regarding theft of an antique well pump. An investigation was conducted and revealed video surveillance capturing a possible suspect. The identification of the suspect is unknown at this time. Case closed pending identification of suspect.
Oakhurst – Coroner report
On Jan. 27 at 1:48 p.m., deputy responded to the 40000 block of CA-41 for a coroners case. Cause of death appeared to be from natural causes. Next of kin was notified and the body was removed by the A&R. Case forwarded to coroners officer for review.
Coarsegold – Theft
On Jan. 27 at 1:50 p.m., deputy responded to a dispatch call in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding theft of a Lexus vehicle hood emblem from the parking lot a week prior. The suspect was identified and case is being sent to the DA’s office for misdemeanor charges.
Coarsegold – Coroner report
On Jan. 27 at 1:51 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 31000 block of Erie Road regarding a subject found to be deceased in his house. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Forward this case to Chief Deputy Coroner for review.
North Fork – Assault
On Jan. 27 at 8:30 p.m., deputy was dispatched to the 56000 block of Ciatana Creek Road regarding a family disturbance. A report was written.
