Hwy 41 and 120 To Yosemite Will Re-open Today

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK — Big Oak Flat Road (continuation of Highway 120 west of Yosemite) will open today, Friday, March 24, at noon. Chains are required.
Wawona Road (continuation of Highway 41) will open today, Friday, March 24, at 5 pm.
Both roads were damaged in recent storms and have one-lane sections controlled by traffic lights. Watch for damaged road shoulders and for heavy equipment on the roads.

Badger Pass Road remains closed until further notice.
The Mariposa Grove will remain closed to both pedestrians and vehicles for safety reasons.
Trails to the Tuolumne and Merced Groves are also covered in several feet of snow. Wear waterproof boots and traction devices; even plowed paths can be icy. Hiking on snow-covered trails is not recommended.
