OAKHURST — Owner Adam Barthold first began serving the mountain area over seven years ago, at first offering mobile cellphone and tablet repair services to the residents of the mountain area and then eventually opening his first brick and mortar location — EZ Screen Cellphone & Tablet Repair — in 2016.
In 2017, he brought his sister Olivia Huffstutler onto the team.
“We would like to thank the residents and local businesses of the mountain area for their support over the year,” Barthold said this week. “As we continue to grow, we will always strive to offer the best solutions and value to our customers. We are so proud to serve and be part of the mountain community.”
Business is so good that Barthold has decided to expand.
“We would like to announce our new and larger location in Oakhurst, as well as our new business branding,” he said. “Gadget Refresh is located at 40359 Highway 41, #6, next door to our old location. Our new Oakhurst location will allow room for expansion as our business continues to grow rapidly.”
Barthold said the last two years have seen “a lot of growth in the company, driven mainly by our expansion into device recycling and refurbishing.”
The business, he added, is on track to sell over 5,000 professionally tested and refurbished cellphones and tablets in 2019 through the business’ various online outlets and network of buyers.
