MADERA – On September 23, 2020, the Madera County Superior Court released a public notice pursuant to Government Code Section 68106 and the California Rules of Court, Rule 10.620, outlining plans to permanently reduce Clerk’s Office hours. The sixty (60) day notice and public comment period concluded at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 23, 2020 with the Court receiving no public comments.
Effective Wednesday, November 25, 2020, the regular hours for the Clerk’s Offices will be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding judicial holidays, for operations located at 200 South G Street.
Specifically, the following Offices will be open to receive filings and respond to inquiries at the Clerk’s windows and via phone from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Traffic, Criminal, Juvenile and Civil.
Pursuant to California Rule of Court 2.210, drop boxes for Traffic, Criminal, Juvenile and Civil filings will be available for use near the office windows between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. each court day.
Any document deposited in a drop box up to 4:00 p.m. on a court day is deemed to have been deposited for filing that day. No cash payments are accepted via a drop box.
The Jury Office will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or as needed to accommodate jurors or juror inquiries.
The Self-Help Office will remain closed for walk-in assistance; however, in-person services will be provided as ordered by the court and by appointment.
The reception desk of Family Court Services will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; however, scheduled appointments and interviews may extend beyond 3:00 p.m.
