Help save animals during disasters! The Central CA Animal Disaster Team (CCADT)seeks animal lovers to help with companion pets, livestock, and equine during crisis situations. CCADT has scheduled its annual “Volunteer Recruitment & Team Training 2024” on February 3-4 at the Madera District Fairgrounds at Van Alen Hall. You will learn about animal evacuation, emergency animal sheltering, shelter-in-place pet care, and other disaster-related topics.
Since 2013, the CCADT has responded to 42 wildfires, 7 flooding incidents, and multiple home fires in the Central Valley. For more information and to register, visit CCADT.org. Registration deadline is January 26th.
