YOSEMITE – Motorists headed into Yosemite on Highway 41/Wawona Road should be prepared for delays as work begins along the Ferguson Fire burn area.
Weather permitting, crews will begin repairing the Wawona Road between Chinquapin Junction and the Rostrum on Monday, Dec. 10.
During the project there will be single-lane traffic control with up to 30-minute delays, and park officials urge everyone to please be patient and schedule additional time when traveling through this area.
The work will continue through the end of January, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic delays may be up to 30 minutes, however the delays could be less as crews are trying to keep alternating traffic moving thru the construction zone.
No weekend or night work is scheduled at this time.
