Coarsegold Residents Involved in Fatal Traffic Collision

OAKHURST — On Saturday, November 20, 2021, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Oakhurst area CHP received a call of a report of a traffic collision on Road 415, east of Cutter Road.  The original reporting party stated they had heard the collision only. Upon arrival, CHP officers discovered two vehicles involved and both lanes of Road 415 completely blocked. The vehicles involved were a Toyota sedan driven by Jane Louise Delman, a resident of Coarsegold, and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by an unnamed resident of Coarsegold.

It was later determined that Jane Louise Delman had been attempting to make a left turn onto Road 415 from the Oak Creek Mobile Home Park when she pulled into the path of the Harley-Davidson. The rider of the Harley-Davidson was traveling westbound on Road 415 and collided with the left side of the Toyota sedan. Due to the collision, the motorcycle rider was ejected from the motorcycle onto the roadway where they sustained fatal injuries. The traffic collision subsequently resulted in Road 415 being closed for several hours, as reported here on our Facebook page, while an investigation took place.

Currently the name of the motorcycle rider is being withheld pending notification of family.

From everyone here at Sierra News Online, our deepest sympathies go out to the family and friends of the motorcycle rider.
