Celebration of Life for Brenda Sue Foster

Brenda Sue Foster (nee, Stout, Choin) passed from this world on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at her home in Coarsegold. She was the wife of Ronald Foster of 45 years.

Brenda was born the second of two children to Sidney and Elma Stout on January 25, 1949, in Fayetteville, AR. In 1950, she and her family moved to Mountain View, CA.  She attended Mountain View High School where she met and married Robert (Bob) Choin in 1965. Bob and Brenda continued to live in the San Francisco Bay Area where they welcomed their three children, Robert Sidney in July, 1966, Stacy Dyanne in February, 1969, and Amie Denise in November, 1972. Bob passed in March of 1974 at the age of 29.

January 4, 1975, Brenda and Ronald Foster were married and then in May, 1977, they moved their family to Chowchilla. In 1987, they made the move to the foothills of Coarsegold, where she continued to live for her remaining 31 years.

Brenda worked at varies jobs during her lifetime, including the young, start-up company, Hewlett-Packard in 1965-66. She also co-owned and operated a clothing business, was an office manager for an almond hauler, and earned her real estate licence.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she enjoyed participating and serving in the Relief Society. Brenda loved to travel, anywhere and everywhere, but especially the Beach. Their frequent stays in Avila Beach, became a second home. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, garage sales and thrift store bargain hunting and Keno and the penny/nickel slots! She had a passion for food and loved to try new foods and restaurants, but Brenda’s true joy in life came from her treasured family and friends, whom she loved and lived for.  She will always be remembered for compassion, loyalty, and thoughtfulness. She never forgot a birthday and you could always expect those cards and positive, inspirational notes to arrive in the mail.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Jene Foster; children Robert Choin, Stacy Anderson, and Amie Whitson; sons-in-law Darren Anderson, and Olen Whitson; eight grandchildren: D.J, (Samantha) Anderson, Miranda Sue (Shawn) Simonich, Sidney Leona (Shaun) Anderson-McDonald, Robert Foster (Bobby, Big Boy) Choin, Courtney Marina (Nathaniel) Anderson-Hines, Seth Christian (Alicia) Anderson, Quinci Bren Whitson, and Megan Ann Whitson; eight great-grandchildren: Ayden, Ava, Addison, Bleu, Landon, Emma, Adley, and Jason; brother and sister-in-law James and
Peggy Stout, sister-in-law Ileen Foster, and many beloved cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and close family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February, 16, 2020, at 2 p.m. at the Anderson Ranch, located at 35818 Road 606, Knowles, CA.
