Celebrate Solstice With An Evening Of Whine And Noses

OAKHURST – Stop by Western Sierra Nursery on Friday, June 21 for ‘An Evening of Whine and Noses’ to benefit the Eastern Madera County SPCA (EMC SPCA) and help raise funds to outfit the shelter. You can celebrate the longest day of the year with your furry friends and your dogs, too, and get an update on the latest news coming out of the EMC SPCA.

Hosted by Western Sierra Nursery owners Dianna and Jeff Conaway, the night out includes live music and special human treats from 6 – 8 p.m. with a requested donation of $15 per person for the EMC SPCA.

Music by Monika and Kirk Moulin of Larkspur, a tempting raffle and a no-host bar round out a gathering of good neighbors gathering for a good cause.

The EMC SPCA is a local, independent nonprofit organization not affiliated with any other SPCA or Humane Society, and is supported solely through private contributions.

EMC SPCA-logo146x100Established in 1990, the EMC SPCA is dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals and provides a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets until they can be placed in loving homes.

“Through proactive intervention, public education and public outreach, the EMC SPCA seeks to promote respect for all life by breaking the cycle of abuse, neglect and pet overpopulation in our community,” according to the EMC SPCA website.
