Big Oak Flat Welcome Center Meeting Cancelled, Webinar Available

YOSEMITE – The public meeting for the Replace the Big Oak Flat Welcome Center Complex Project and Environmental Assessment (EA) scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Rush Creek Lodge has been cancelled due to the National Day of Mourning for President George H. W. Bush and the Federal Government Closure.

Although the meeting will not be rescheduled due to project timeline considerations, the park is hosting a public webinar online on Wednesday, Dec. 12, from 12 to 1 p.m. to provide an opportunity to learn more about the project and engage with park staff.

During the webinar park staff will present information on the project/EA, as well as answer questions, and provide guidance on how to comment.

If you plan on joining the webinar, it’s recommended that you register ahead of time and verify that your computer’s media player is up to date. To register and check your computer’s media player, access the following link: Register for the Webinar.

As a reminder, the public comment period for the EA is open now. Please share your written comments by Dec. 20 via one of the following methods:
