Badger Pass Nordic Center Open For The Season

YOSEMITE – The Badger Pass Nordic Center is open for the season as of Saturday, Dec. 15. The Glacier Point Road to Badger Pass has just opened, so now is the time to get out and do some cross-country skiing or snowshoeing.

Badger Pass is enjoying 5″ of fresh, cold powder that fell overnight Friday, and they groomed the road out to Glacier Point on Thursday morning. There was coverage the entire way, but it was very thin in places. The coverage off of the road is going to be extremely variable, with many barely covered hidden obstacles and hazards, so they advise everyone to be careful out there.

The skiing on the Glacier Point Road is excellent, with 5″ of fresh snow on the packed trail.

There is no food service at this time, but snacks and drinks are available. No free shuttle service until the downhill operations start.
