Auditions For Fundraiser At Public Coffee House In North Fork

NORTH FORK – Auditions for the Phantom Opera Show fundraiser will be held at the Public Coffee House (PCH) in North Fork on Tuesday, Jan. 8, and Thursday, Jan. 10 from noon to 5 p.m.

Organizer Isabella Clark is looking for singers, age 12 and up, to be part of a very special concert fundraiser to support the ongoing work of PCH – creating a safe, uplifting space for the youth of North Fork.

The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Mar. 30, at the North Fork Town Hall and will include a dinner of spaghetti and chicken, a dessert of delicious creme brûlée, a silent auction, and the main event – a Phantom of the Opera concert.

All money raised from ticket sales, dinner, and the silent auction will be going to support PCH. Suggested donation is $15.

Isabella Clark, 20, has taken on this project and is using her own money to purchase the food and rent the Town Hall. PCH and the kids who frequent the inviting space hold a very special place in her heart. She often volunteers her time at the little shop when she isn’t at her job at AT&T, and has fallen in love with the kids and the mission.

Issy and her boss, Greg Lloyd, will be doing all the cooking for the community dinner and, a talented singer herself, she will also be handling the auditions and producing the show.

PCH opened in March of 2017 with the mission of providing a safe, Christian space for the children of North Fork. Owners Cassandra Hepburn-Callis and David Callis host bible studies, daily activities, birthday parties and other events for the children of the area.

“They often take the kids on field trips and are simply a blessing to our town,” says Issy. “It’s a place for children to go after school when they can’t go home, and a place for children and others to just come and feel safe.

“It is a very warm and friendly environment and the owners have been having some recent financial issues, so I am committed to helping them keep the doors open so they can continue to provide a safe place for the kids and anyone else who needs it.”

PCH also hosts monthly community dinners, free of charge, for anyone who wishes to attend.

For more information about auditioning for the show or about PCH, please contact Isabella Clark at 559-676-9277 or email her at phantomauditions@gmail.com.

Anyone under the age of 16 is asked to be accompanied by an adult for the audition.

Public Coffee House is located at 33023 Road 222 in downtown North Fork.
