Eastern Madera County Residents Invited to Fire Prevention and Resources Town Hall
SACRAMENTO – Assemblyman Jim Patterson will be joined by fire and insurance experts, law enforcement, and others in Oakhurst Tuesday night to talk about state and local wildfire preparations, what people can do now to lower their fire insurance costs, and free resources available to help clear property of fire hazards.
The Town Hall will be Tuesday, September 27, 2022, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm at the Oakhurst Community Center, located at 39800 Fresno Flats Rd, Oakhurst, CA 93644
People in Yosemite Lakes Park, Coarsegold, and Oakhurst were on edge during the Oak fire in Mariposa and Fork fire in North Fork. While this area has been spared a major wildfire this season, now is the time to prepare for next year.
We have some compelling speakers joining us at this event for folks living in eastern Madera county. We will hear from fire insurance experts, firefighters, and a Mariposa County Sheriff’s Sergeant who lost his home in the Oak Fire will share his story. More details are below.
