6th Annual Soroptimist ‘Dream It-Be It’ Girls Career Conference

6th Annual Soroptimist ‘Dream It – Be It’ Girls Career Conference for high school girls to be held May 22, 2021. Limited ‘Virtual’ Seats available and you must pre-register for this FREE event!

OAKHURST – Soroptimist International of The Sierras local service club is having their 6th Annual ‘Dream It – Be It’ Career Conference which is scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2021 virtually from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Limited ‘virtual’ seats are available for 8th to 12th grade high school girls for this FREE conference. Registration is online at www.DreamItBeItGirls.com or by calling the event chair Michele Shockley 559.658.1803.

The registration deadline is May 20, 2021 or when ‘virtual’ seats are filled. Signed parental consents are mandatory and are available on the website.

There will be fun, exciting goodie bags given to each girl who attends, prizes to win, activities, fun games, dream boards and of course, inspirational speakers who will be sharing their life stories and what paths they took to reach their chosen careers.

Exciting news this year as our keynote speaker will be joining us from Vancouver, British Columbia since we will be having a virtual event!  Diane Rolston- Business & Leadership Coach, Speaker & Author is a leading authority in being a Dynamic Woman™ and living a Dynamic Life. Combining a mix of coaching and personal development, Diane works with professional women to provide clarity, boost confidence and get them into action. She is a Certified Professional Coach, an International Speaker, Author, Workshop Leader and the CEO & and co-founder of Dynamic Women™ in Action (DWA™) a quickly expanding community of women.  Her book Dynamic You is available on Amazon.

Alexandra Kennedy will also be joining us as a speaker and is a graduate student at Stanford University and is going to speak about resilience, overcoming obstacles and turning failures into success.

Since 1968, Soroptimist International of The Sierras is a local service club and part of Soroptimist International of the Americas (Soroptimist.org).  Soroptimist is a global volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment.  Volunteer and get involved in your community and join us as our monthly meetings are 1st and 3rd Thursdays at Noon.

Soroptimist, a 501(c)(3) organization that relies on charitable donations to support its two major programs including ‘Dream It Be It’ Girls Career Conference and ‘Live Your Dream’ College Grants for women.
