MARIPOSA COUNTY — Emergency crews are on scene of a single-vehicle accident on Highway 49 near Chowchilla Mountain Road.
Just before 5 p.m. reports came in of a single vehicle over the side, and Sheriff’s deputies, CHP, and firefighters were at scene by 5:10 p.m., working to extract one patient.
There is no report of road blockage at this time, however, there are emergency vehicles in the area, and more en route.
Mercy Air ambulance is on the way to the landing zone at Usona Fire Station.
By 5:12 p.m., the 65- to 70-year-old female was freed from the crash, and transported to the landing zone.
