Fallen Boulders Close SR-120

SR-120 Mono County (Caltrans District 9)

MONO COUNTY — State Route 120 / Tioga Pass in Mono County remains closed today due to large boulders that fell onto the roadway, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Caltrans is working to remove the rocks and reopen the road as soon as possible.

Due to snow, SR-120 is currently closed from Crane Flat in Yosemite National Park to 5 miles west of the junction of US 395. Call 209/372-0200 (then 1, 1) to check on the status of Tioga Road or other roads in Yosemite National Park.

  1. oops….meant to ask how to contact Tom Wheeler to protest the silly idea of a roundabout, or if anybody else thought it was an absurd idea? Why not save that money for the study and just put a flashing red stop at the approach to the stop coming from South Fork?? And a change from “yield” to merge coming off Road 274. Too many come to a complete stop,not a car in sight anywhere,and they can’t be seen until someone almost rear-ends them!
