CENTRAL SIERRA — Cal Fire would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2 a.m., daylight savings time ends.
When you set your clocks back one hour, please make another change that could save your life — change the battery in your smoke detector.
Although smoke detectors are in most homes, many do not work simply because the battery is dead. A working smoke detector provides an early warning of a fire and critical extra seconds for you to escape.
If you do not have a smoke detector in your home, or your smoke detector is more than 10 years old, now is the perfect time to purchase one and install it.
Remember, on Sunday, Nov. 6 — Change your clocks, Change your batteries!
