COARSEGOLD — We praise them highly every single time they race to put out a fire. Now, here’s a chance to meet and support local firefighters, as Yosemite Lakes Volunteer Firefighters Station 10 in Yosemite Lakes Park invites the community to an open house and tri-tip dinner.
Take a tour of Station 10, and see the engines and other apparatus at this family-friendly tri-tip fundraiser. Look for an interactive fire safety trailer, kids’ activities and give-aways, vehicle extrication demonstration, and AED defibrillator demonstration.
It all takes place on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The open house is free to attend. Of course, you’ll want the tri-tip sandwiches, beans, salad and drink for $10 per person at the event, or you can save 20 percent by purchasing a presale ticket for only $8. Alternatively, a meal of hot dog, chips and drink costs just $2 per person. Call (916) 806-6671 for presale tix.
Madera County Fire Station 10 is located on the corner of Long Hollow and Glacier Drive, across from the Rec Center, Yosemite Lakes Park.
