MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Sunday, May 29 to Sunday June 5, 2016:
Oakhurst vandalism
On Sunday, May 29 at 6:16 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of School Road regarding a report of a fire on the baseball field. Report taken, evidence obtained, no arrests made and case closed.
Coarsegold disturbance
On Sunday, May 29 at 9:37 a.m. a subject reported that he was struck by a gold cart driven by an employee at the Coarsegold Peddler’s Fair. Investigation showed that the claim was unfounded. Case to be closed.
Ahwahnee disturbance
On Sunday, May 29 at 10:39 a.m. dispatched to the 42000 block of Hwy-49 in Ahwahnee regarding a male subject threatening another male subject with a pitchfork. Report taken, no arrests made, and subject placed on a mental health hold.
Oakhurst theft
On Sunday, May 29 at 9:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a call for service via phone in Oakhurst regarding stolen medication. Report taken, no evidence obtained, no arrests made, and case closed.
Coarsegold indecent exposure
On Sunday, May 29 at 2:46 p.m. deputies received a report of a male subject exposing himself in a restroom at Chuckansi Casino. Case written and to be forwarded to detectives for follow up with casino security to obtain the surveillance footage in an effort to identify the suspect.
Coarsegold domestic disturbance
On Sunday, May 29 at 2:39 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35000 block of McAllister Road in regards to a verbal disturbance between husband and wife. Upon arrival, both parties are contacted and statements are obtained. An emergency protective order is subsequently issued and one firearm is seized for safe keeping. Report to be closed.
Bass Lake missing person
On Sunday, May 29 at 6:39 p.m. deputies responded to the Chilkoot Campground for a missing adult. Search and Rescue was called out to the location and they were able to locate the subject. The subject was returned to his camp site.
Oakhurst search and rescue
On Sunday, May 29 at 10:06 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to Sky Ranch Road and USFS Road 5S38 for a reported lost person. Search and Rescue resources were dispatched and an incident command post was established at the camp site on 5S38. A missing person form was completed and hasty search was started. A report was written to document the incident.
Bass Lake altercation
On Monday, May 30 at 12:27 a.m. deputies responded to the 54000 block of Road 432 in Bass Lake, regarding a physical altercation. During the investigation it was determined the parties involved had been drinking alcohol and got into a mutual physical altercation. Case to be forwarded to the district attorney’s office for review. Case closed.
Coarsegold vandalism
On Monday, May 30 at 12:27 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 28000 block of Flying ‘O’ Ranch Road regarding a report of vandalism. Report taken. No arrests made, evidence obtained, and case closed.
North Fork disturbance
On Monday, May 30 at 2:14 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 33000 block of Road 222 in regards to possible inappropriate relationship involving an adult female and juvenile male. At this time, there is no evidence to substantiate the claim made by the parent. The allegations are denied by the adult female and juvenile male. Report taken for documentation only at this time. Report to be closed.
Ahwahnee burglary
On Monday, May 30 at 4:01 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to 44000 block of Road 619 regarding a garage burglary. Report taken. Case to be closed.
North Fork warrant arrest
On Monday, May 30 at 10:43 p.m. a deputy placed a subject under arrest for having a misdemeanor warrant in the area of the 56000 block of Road 200. The subject was given a citation, for the warrant, and he was released on scene.
Coarsegold assault
On Tuesday, May 31 at 8:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the area of CA-41 and Road 207 in regards to a suspicious male subject that appeared to be injured. Upon arrival, the male was located and contacted. It was discovered that the male was assaulted by several subjects at a residence in the Coarsegold area. The male refused to provide specific details of the assault or name his attackers. The male was transported to a local hospital via ambulance for medical treatment. Report taken for documentation purposes only and is to be closed with no further action.
Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, May 31 at 8:25 a.m. a deputy was requested to call the reporting party regarding a lost or stolen purse from the 40000 block of Highway 49. Report taken.Case to be closed.
Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, May 31 at 9:14 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Golden Oak Drive regarding a theft. Report taken. Case to be suspended.
North Fork assault
On Tuesday, May 31 at 10:32 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Dogwood Drive in regards to an assault report. Upon arrival, the involved subjects were contacted and statements were obtained. The statements were inconsistent and there were no independent witnesses to corroborate the victim’s claims. The victim requests that charges be filed. This report is to be submitted to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges.
Oakhurst child found
On Tuesday, May 31 at 12:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 426 regarding the reporting party finding a four year old walking in the street with two dogs. Child returned to his house. Case to be closed.
Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Tuesday, May 31 at 3:25 p.m. responds to the 34000 block of CA-41 in regards to an attempt to contact a male with an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Upon arrival, the male is contacted and placed under arrest for an active misdemeanor warrant. The subject is later booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case to be closed.
North Fork restraining order violation
On Tuesday, May 31 at 3:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Oonay Nation Road in regards to a violation of a domestic violence restraining order. Upon arrival, the female reporting party is contacted. The male suspect had left the area and was not contacted. Case to be suspended, pending contact from the suspect.
Oakhurst disturbance
On Tuesday, May 31 at 7:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to a residence located within the 46500 block of Eastwood Drive South regarding a report of negligent shooting at an inhabited dwelling and subsequent vandalism. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
Coarsegold burglary
On Tuesday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. responded to the area of the 46000 block of Konklin Road for a burglary report. A report was taken and closed until further investigative leads arise.
Oakhurst danger to self
On Wednesday, June 1 at 12:48 dispatched to the 40000 block of Hwy-41 regarding a suicidal female on a public bus. Report taken, no arrests made, no evidence obtained and female subject placed on a mental health evaluation hold.
Oakhurst sex crime
On Wednesday, June 1 at 12:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Canoga Drive regarding a report of sexual allegations with a minor. Report taken, no arrests made, no evidence obtained and case forwarded to detectives for review.
Coarsegold theft
On Wednesday, June 1 at 5:55 p.m. a deputy was working casino detail in the 46500 block of Lucky Lane and was contacted by security in regards to a stolen cell phone. Report taken.
Coarsegold assault
On Wednesday, June 1 at 10:23 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the Yosemite Lakes Park Estates golf course club house, located within the 42500 block of Artesian Court, regarding a report of an assault. This case has been suspended, pending investigative leads.
Coarsegold false registration
On Wednesday, June 1 at 11:23 p.m. a deputy noticed an unoccupied vehicle parked on the side of CA-41, in front of the Willow Glen Smoke Shop, in Coarsegold. A record check of the vehicle showed it had an expired registration, but had a false registration tab affixed to the rear plate. During the investigation no one was seen in the area, however several mobile trailers located behind the business were found with broken windows. It was later determined these windows had been damaged for several months. This case was written for documentation only and has been closed.
Bass Lake narcotics
On Thursday, June 2 at 3:49 a.m. a deputy conducted a suspicious vehicle check in the 54000 block of Crane Valley Road where two subjects were arrested and transported to the county jail for several narcotic violations and possession of firearms. Case closed.
North Fork arrest citation
On Thursday, June 2 at 11:41 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Rd 222 / Rd 225 which resulted in the passenger being cited on an outstanding arrest warrant. Closed the case.
North Fork vehicle citation
On Thursday, June 2 at 12:39 a.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic stop on a male subject riding an Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) in the area of Road 225 / Road 274 in which resulted in the rider being cited. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.
North Fork vehicle impound
On Thursday, June 2 at 1:18 p.m. a deputy conducted a routine traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Road 222 / Road 225 which resulted in the driver being cited for traffic violations and the vehicle stored for expired vehicle registration. Forward the case to the Madera County DA for charges.
Coarsegold warrant arrest
On Thursday, June 2 at 2:11 p.m. a deputy contacted a male subject in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane and placed him under arrest for an outstanding felony warrant. Male was later booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections. Case to be closed.
Oakhurst misdemeanor warrant
On Friday, June 3 at 10:27 a.m. a deputy made contact with an adult male who was sitting on a block wall behind an auto parts business in the 40000 block of CA-41. It was found the subject had a local, misdemeanor warrant. The subject was cited for the warrant, and the case is to be closed.
Coarsegold theft
On Friday, June 3 at 2:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 31100 block of North Dome Drive area in regards to a theft. A report taken and charges requested. Forward to the Madera DA for charges.
Oakhurst danger to self
On Friday, June 3 at 8:38 p.m. a deputy made contact with a female on the 40000 blk. of Goldside Drive. A report was generated and the female was transported for further medical assistance. Case closed
North Fork missing person
On Friday, June 3 at 10:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 35700 Block of Highland Drive East for a missing person. A report was taken and the case is closed. Missing person returned home.
Bass Lake dogs in vehicle
On Saturday, June 4 at 10:19 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 54000 Road 432 (Pines Resort) regarding two dogs in a vehicle. The owner arrived and the dogs were okay. He did have an outstanding warrant. He was cited a released on scene. Refer report closed.
Bass Lake burglary
On Saturday, June 4 at 10:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the block of 39000 Robin regarding an attempt break into a residence. The suspects did not get inside and nothing was missing. The electrical panel was removed and the power was turned off. The victim requested a report for documentation.
Coarsegold public intoxication
On Saturday, June 4 a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a subject who was intoxicated and causing problems. A male subject was subsequently arrested and transported to the county jail for public intoxication. Case closed.
Coarsegold prositution solicitation
On Saturday, June 4 at 7:10 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a prostitution solicitation report. Two subjects were arrested and charges to be filed with the district attorney’s office. Case closed.
Coarsegold assault
On Saturday, June 4 at 8:44 p.m. a deputy responded to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane regarding a battery report. A male subject was subsequently arrested for punching an employee and transported to the county jail. Case closed.
North Fork assault
On Sunday, June 5 at 1:31 a.m. a deputy responded to the 55000 blk of Wilcox Drive for a report of an assault. After conducting an investigation, a suspect was identified but was not located. Case was forwarded to detectives for review, and to the DA’s office for charges to be filed. Suspect still outstanding.
North Fork coroner’s report
On Sunday, June 5 at 6:49 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Woaka Poyah in regards to a coroner investigation. Upon arrival, it is determined that the death is involving an 85 year old female. The death appears to be from natural causes and according to the family, her death was expected. This report is to be forwarded to the Chief Deputy Coroner for review.
Raymond domestic violence
On Sunday, June 5 at 8:14 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to a telephonic report regarding possible domestic violence. Both parties are subsequently contacted and an emergency protective order is issued. Report to be submitted to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office for review of charges. No arrest were made due to conflicting statements and no visible injuries.
Oakhurst danger to self
On Sunday, June 5 at 10:08 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Victoria Lane regarding a female saying that she wanted to kill herself. Report taken and subject sent to Madera Community Hospital for mental health evaluation. Report to be closed.
Coarsegold burglary
On Sunday, June 5 at 10:19 a deputy was dispatched to the 47000 block of Veater Ranch Road in regards to a residential burglary report. The victims belive that the suspect is possibly their estranged adult son. No physical evidence or forced entry is located at the scene. Case to be suspended, due to a lack of investigative leads/ evidence. Attempts to contact the suspect will be made.
Bass Lake threats
On Sunday, June 5 at 12:48 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to call the reporting party regarding some threats made by a female juvenile via social media. Report taken for documentation. Case to be closed.
Raymond assault
On Sunday, June 5 at 4:17 p.m. deputies took an assault report that occurred at that 33000 block of Road 800. All parties were contacted and their statements were received. The report was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office.
