MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally from Tuesday, Oct. 8, to Monday, Oct. 14, 2019.

Oakhurst: Vandalism
On Tuesday, October 8, at 11:30 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding vandalism. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst: Narcotics
On Tuesday, October 8, at 12:27 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a narcotics report. Report written and case closed.

Oakhurst: Theft
On Tuesday, October 8, at 4:00 p.m., a cadet was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a theft of property. Recommend case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst: Missing Juvenile
On Wednesday, October 9, at 9:29 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a runaway juvenile. An investigation was conducted and report written. The missing person was entered into MUPS. Case taken for documentation.

Oakhurst: Vandalism
On Wednesday, October 9, at 1:44 p.m., a cadet was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a report of vandalism. Victim was contacted by phone as requested. Recommend case to be closed due to lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst: Phone Scam
On Wednesday, October 9, at 2:06 p.m., a cadet was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a phone scam. Recommend case to be closed due to a lack of investigative leads.

Oakhurst: Theft
On Wednesday, October 9, at 4:12 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst regarding a theft. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case suspended until further leads develop.

Oakhurst: Misdemeanor Warrant Arrest
On Wednesday, October 9, at 10:34 p.m., a deputy was in the area of Oakhurst when the deputy saw a subject sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle that had two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. The vehicle was stopped and the male subject was arrested and issued a citation with a new court date for his outstanding misdemeanor warrants.

Oakhurst: Narcotics Arrest
On Wednesday, October 9, at 11:05 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Oakhurst on a vehicle with expired registration. All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested for traffic violation and/or drug violations. The three subjects were issued citations and promised to appear at a later court date and released.

Oakhurst: Assault
On Wednesday, October 9, at 11:39 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to Oakhurst in regards to a physical disturbance. Investigation conducted and charges requested by the victim. Forward to Madera County DA to pursue charges.

Coarsegold: Danger To Self
On Thursday, October 10, at 5:14 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold regarding a subject that was gravely disable and had used methamphetamine. She was transported to MCH under at W&I 5150 hold. Refer report closed.

Bass Lake: Danger To Self
On Thursday, October 10, at 7:20 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Bass Lake regarding a male subject armed with a knife and holding a baby. After further investigation the male subject was determined to be a danger to himself and was taken under a W&I 5150 hold to MCH. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold: Theft
On Friday, October 12, at 10:18 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to Coarsegold for a lost or stolen cell phone. A report was taken for documentation. No video surveillance of the incident was located.
