Madera County Sheriff’s Log Through Dec. 2

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of reports taken locally from Monday, Nov. 26, to Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018.

Oakhurst failure to yield, stolen loaded handgun, felon in possession of a firearm
On Monday, Nov. 26 at 4:27 a.m. a vehicle stop near the intersection of Pierce Drive and Elliot Drive led to a short pursuit. The driver was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) probation and was found to be in possession of a stolen, loaded handgun. He was arrested for failure to yield, a PRCS violation, possession of stolen property, felon in possession of a firearm, and felon in possession of ammunition. The passenger was arrested for a violation of probation.

Oakhurst missing person
On Monday, Nov. 26 at 11:42 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Highway 41 regarding a missing person. A report was written and the subject was entered into the missing and unidentified person system.

Oakhurst narcotics
On Monday, Nov. 26 at 12:29 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of CA-49 in regards to a narcotics investigation. Upon arrival, statements are obtained and the suspected narcotics were seized. Case to be forwarded to the detective unit for additional investigation.

Oakhurst theft
On Monday, Nov. 26 at 1:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Highway 41 regarding stolen property. A report was written and case closed.

Ahwahnee fraud
On Monday, Nov. 26 at 2:20 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of Highway 49 regarding fraud. A report was written and case closed.

Ahwahnee theft
On Monday, Nov. 26 at 3:51 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Quail Rock Trail in regards to a fraud report. A report was taken for documentation.

Coarsegold juvenile danger to self
On Monday, Nov. 26 at 7:29 p.m. deputies were dispatched regarding a juvenile who was threatening to harm herself. It was determined the juvenile met the criteria for a mental health evaluation hold and was sent to the hospital for an evaluation.

O’Neals false vehicle registration tabs, false identity, felony probation
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 1:44 a.m. deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of CA- Highway 41 just south of Road 200. Upon contacting the driver it was determined the his vehicle had false registration tabs. The subject provided a name and date of birth that was false and actually belonged to his brother in Missouri. After an extensive investigation it was determined the subject was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) felony probation out of Fresno County. The subject was transported and booked into Madera County DOC.

Coarsegold felony warrant and possession of drugs
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 9:53 a.m. a deputy located a vehicle that was associated with a person that was wanted on a felony warrant in the area of Road 200 and Minarets High School. The male driver that was wanted on a the felony warrant was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC for his outstanding warrant and for possession of drugs.

Oakhurst theft
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 11:02 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to investigate a report of theft that occurred in the 40000 block of Junction Drive. A report was taken. Currently, there are no suspect(s).

Oakhurst violation of court order
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 11:12 a.m. a deputy is dispatched to investigate a violation of a court order that occurred in the 39000 block of Road 425B. Contact was made via telephone. Attempts to contact the other involved party were unsuccessful. Case to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 12:49 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Meadow Vista Drive in regards to a subject making suicidal statements. Upon arrival, the subject was contacted and placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Oakhurst missing juvenile
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 3:05 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in regards to a runaway juvenile. A report was taken.

Friant repeated trespassing after eviction
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 3:07 p.m. the Madera Sheriff POP Team learned that a female subject arrested for trespassing and a warrant last week returned to the property she was evicted from. The team located the female subject inside the same residence in the area of 49000 Three Gate Road. Due to her continually committing this crime a Non-Release of Misdemeanor Arrest form was submitted with the booking form. The property owner was notified of the arrest and given instruction on how to better secure the property. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst missing juvenile
On Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 4:27 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a report of a runaway juvenile.

Oakhurst assault with vehicle
On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 12:44 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 40000 block of CA- Highway 49 regarding a possible assault with a vehicle. It was determined the victim had tried to confront the suspect. At that time, the suspect drove his vehicle at the victim’s vehicle and at one point almost hit him. The suspect caused major damage to the victim’s vehicle prior to leaving the area. After checking the area the suspect was located and taken into custody.

Ahwahnee domestic violence
On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 12:44 p.m. deputies responded to a domestic violence call. An Ahwahnee resident was arrested for felony domestic violence. An emergency protective order was issued.

O’Neals danger to self
On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 10:02 a.m. a school resource deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 200 in regards to a subject possibly in need of a mental health evaluation hold. The subject was determined to be a danger to himself and a protective hold was placed.

North Fork danger to self
On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 2:15 p.m. a deputy was dispatched in regards to an adult female who made suicidal statements. Upon arrival, the female was contacted and placed on a mental health evaluation hold.

Coarsegold allegations of possible child abuse
On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 3:22 p.m. a deputy was called to the 50000 block of School Road assist another agency concerning allegations of possible child abuse. A report was written.

Oakhurst juvenile danger to self
On Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 9:55 p.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a male juvenile who posted a suicidal message on social media. The juvenile was placed on a mental health evaluation hold and transported to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.

Bass Lake burglary
On Thursday, Nov. 29 at 8:48 a.m. a deputy responded to the area of Road 222 and Sierra Linda Drive in regards to a burglary report. Several construction tools were stolen from a cargo trailer. An investigation was completed and a report was written. The report was forwarded to detectives for review.

Coarsegold felony warrant arrest, suspected involvement in recent burglaries
On Thursday, Nov. 29 at 1:50 p.m. the Madera Sheriff POP Team assisted mountain patrol with a suspicious vehicle on Road 417 near Chukchansi Resort & Casino. The occupant of the vehicle was found to be on probation and have a confirmed felony warrant out of Madera County. The vehicle matched the description of a vehicle involved in recent burglaries in the area. A probation search of the vehicle and roll back searches of the subject’s residences were conducted. The subject was arrested and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections. Case closed by arrest.

Coarsegold possible violation of restraining order
On Thursday, Nov. 29 at 2:22 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive regarding a possible violation of a restraining order. Report taken for documentation and no charges were requested.

Oakhurst public intoxication
On Thursday, Nov. 29 at 3:58 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Civic Circle regarding a possibly intoxicated subject. The involved male was arrested and booked for public intoxication.

Oakhurst danger to self
On Thursday, Nov. 29 at 8:25 p.m. deputies responded for a report of a man wanting to hurt himself.

Oakhurst warrant citation
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 3:33 a.m. deputies contacted a subject on the 40000 block of CA-49 found to have two warrants for his arrest. Subject was cited and released.

Raymond theft and vandalism at post office
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 8:41 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 600 regarding vandalism to several mail box clusters inside the post office. The suspect was located and admitted to the crime. He was arrested and booked at the Madera County Jail. Refer to the DA’s office for charges filed.

North Fork arrest for warrant out of Virginia 
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 10:12 a.m. a deputy contacted a female subject in the 57000 block of Road 225 who was found to have an active warrant out of Virginia. She was arrested and transported to Madera where she was turned over to the US Marshals. A report was written to document the incident.

Oakhurst domestic violence
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 10:58 a.m. a deputy was dispatched regarding a domestic violence incident which occurred approximately one week prior. The reporting party was contacted and a report was taken. The recommendation for this case is to be forwarded to the DA’s office for filing of the listed charge as well as a copy to Madera County Adult Probation.

Wishon residential burglary and theft of utilities
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 2:28 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 37000 block of Road 222 regarding subjects who were possibly squatting on the property. This incident was determined to be a residential burglary and theft of utilities. There was no positive ID of the suspects at this time. Case to be suspended.

Coarsegold possible theft of cell phone
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 5:13 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 45000 block of Road 415 regarding a cell phone possibly stolen by a juvenile at school. The reporting party requested a report for documentation.

Oakhurst person under the influence 
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 8:42 p.m. a deputy conducted a subject check on a male in the 40000 block of CA-49. The male was determined to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance and arrested. He was booked at Madera DOC without incident.

Oakhurst theft
On Friday, Nov. 30 at 10:41 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 40000 block of Bollinger Place for reports of a stolen Iphone. An investigation was done and a report taken. The Iphone was recovered on Dec. 1. Case closed.

Coarsegold subject causing disturbance, possession of paraphernalia
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1:15 a.m. a deputy was requested due to a male subject causing a disturbance at a business in the 43000 block of Lucky Lane. The subject refused to leave, then was arrested for trespassing and possession of paraphernalia. Case forwarded to the Madera County DA to pursue charges.

Coarsegold expired registration and license
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1:24 a.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a pickup with expired registration on Highway 41 at Road 200. The driver also had an expired driver’s license. Driver was cited and released.

Oakhurst person in need of assistance
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 6:59 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Pine Ridge Road regarding a missing elderly adult male. The subject was located behind the residence in the neighbor’s yard. He had dementia and had fallen. He was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation hold. Refer report closed.

Coarsegold theft
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 9:17 a.m. a deputy responded to a business located in the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in regards to a theft report. An investigation was completed and a suspect was identified. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Coarsegold family disturbance, public intoxication
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 2:50 p.m. a deputy responded to a family disturbance located on Revis Court. A female was contacted and found to be intoxicated, then placed under arrest for public intoxication and booked into the Madera County Jail. A report was written and forwarded to the DA’s Office for prosecution.

Oakhurst warrant arrest after report of disturbance
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 6:16 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the 39000 block of road 425b for a report of a disturbance. A subject was arrested on an active warrant out of Sonoma County.

North Fork aggravated assault
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8:14 p.m. a deputy responded to the 31000 block of Golden Acorn Court for a report of an assault resulting in injuries. Both parties were contacted and gave conflicting statements. A report was taken and forwarded to the DA’s office for review of possible charges.

North Fork theft
On Saturday, Dec. 1 at 10:17 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block on Moic Drive for a theft report. An investigation was done and a report taken. Case closed due to no valid suspect leads.

Bass Lake found property booked for destruction
On Sunday, Dec. 2 at 8:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 53000 block of Road 432 in regards to found property that was located in a hotel room. Property was later booked for destruction.

Oakhurst burglary
On Sunday, Dec. 2 at 10:04 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of Crestview Lane regarding a burglary. A report was written, evidence obtained, and case closed.

Bass Lake theft
On Sunday, Dec. 2 at 11:46 a.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Beaver in regards to a theft report. Upon arrival, the victim was contacted. Currently, there are no suspects. Case to be suspended.

Oakhurst theft
On Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2:38 p.m. a deputy was dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 426 regarding a theft. A report was written and case closed.

Coarsegold driver without license gets vehicle stored
On Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4:02 p.m. a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the area of Stone Creek Road and Highway 41. The female driver was cited for driving without a license and the vehicle was stored for storage.
