Madera County Sheriff’s Log — Oct. 1-7

MADERA COUNTY – Following are details from Madera County Sheriff’s Office reports taken locally Oct. 1-7, 2019.

Oakhurst – Theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 9:30 a.m. deputy dispatched to the 48000 block of Liberty Drive in Oakhurst regarding theft. Report written, evidence obtained, and case forwarded to detectives for review.

Coarsegold – Theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 10:11 a.m. deputy was dispatched to take a report via telephone regarding a theft that occurred near the 27000 block of Hwy 41. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Case closed.

Coarsegold – Theft
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 11:08 a.m. deputy was dispatched to take a report via telephone regarding theft that occurred in the 37000 block of Sundance Drive. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Forward this case to the Madera DA’s Office for review of charges filed.

Oakhurst – Assault
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 12:56 p.m. a deputy was called to the 50000 Block of School Road in regards to an assault. A juvenile was arrested and a report was written.

Oakhurst – General incident
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 1:50 p.m. cadet was dispatched to the 48000 Block regarding found property. The found property was booked into property and evidence. Recommend case to be closed.

Oakhurst – Sex crime
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 2:18 p.m. deputy dispatched to the 49000 block of Road 427 in Oakhurst regarding sex crime. Report written and case forwarded to detectives.

Oakhurst – General incident
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 3:12 p.m deputy was dispatched to take a report via telephone regarding a female sending text messages alluding that she wanted to end her life. An investigation was completed and a report was written. Closed this case.

Oakhurst – Weapons
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 5:17 p.m. the Madera Sheriff’s POP Team conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of CA-41 and Empty Creek Road in the town of Oakhurst. During investigation it was found the driver had felony warrants out of Madera County and was on probation. A subsequent search of his person and vehicle provided he was in possession of a firearm, ammo, concealed dagger, drug paraphernalia and forged checks. He was arrested, transported and booked into Madera County Department of Corrections for the warrants and appropriate charges. Case closed by arrest.

Oakhurst – Disturbance
On Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 5:32 p.m. deputies responded to the area of the 40000 block of Highway 41 for a possible intoxicated male subject that was causing a disturbance. Subject was contacted and he was placed under arrest for public intoxication. Subject was transported and booked into the Madera County Jail.

Oakhurst – Burglary
On Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 3:15 p.m. cadet was dispatched to the 46000 Block of Eastwood Drive South, Oakhurst regarding a cold burglary. Recommend case to be suspended.

Coarsegold – Theft
On Thursday. Oct. 3 at 9:58 a.m. deputy dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in Coarsegold regarding theft from inside a vehicle. Report written and case closed at the request of the victim.

Oakhurst – Narcotics
On Thursday. Oct. 3 at 1:36 p.m. a deputy responded to the 50000 Block of School Road in regards to a narcotics violation. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County Juvenile Probation for review of charges.

Oakhurst – Arrest warrant
On Thursday. Oct. 3 at 2:39 p.m. deputy responded to the area of Montgomery Dr. and Hana Way for a report of a suspicious subject sleeping in a car. Subject was contacted and determined to have multiple outstanding warrants. He was arrested and booked for the warrants. Case closed.

North Fork – Simple assault
On Thursday. Oct. 3 at 3:25 p.m deputy dispatched to the 32000 block of Road 222 North Fork regarding a domestic violence incident. The involved adult male was arrested and booked for domestic battery. Case to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst – Arrest warrant
On Thursday. Oct. 3 at 10:59 p.m deputy spoke with a male subject in the 40000 block of Highway 41 that had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The male subject was arrested and issued a citation with a new court date and released.

Coarsegold – Simple Assault
On Friday, Oct. 4 at 12:45 a.m. Deputies were dispatched to the 47000 block of Road 417 regarding a domestic disturbance. An investigation was conducted and evidence collected. One subject was arrested and booked into Madera DOC.

Oakhurst – Narcotics
On Friday, Oct. 4 at 2:35 p.m. deputy conducted a traffic enforcement of a subject that was riding his bike in the wrong direction on the roadway near Golden Oak Loop and Highway 41. The male subject was found to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and to be in possession of suspected crystal methamphetamine. The male subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

O’Neals – Family disturbance
On Friday, Oct. 4 at 7:50 p.m. deputy dispatched to the 50000 block of Road 200 regarding a family disturbance. This incident is involving elder mental abuse. An EPO was issued and served. Report to be forwarded to the District Attorney for filing charges.

Oakhurst – Danger to self
On Friday, Oct. 4 at 2:03 p.m deputies dispatched to assist Fresno PD with a suicidal subject who was possibly in Madera County, near Lewis Creek. The subject was located uninjured. He was determined to be a danger to himself and placed on a W&I 5150 hold. He was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Oakhurst – Arrest warrant
On Friday, Oct. 4 at 9:02 p.m. deputy saw several subjects in a parking lot in the area of Highway 41 and Highway 49. A warrants check found that two subjects had outstanding warrants. The subjects were arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Oakhurst – Arrest warrant
On Friday, Oct. 4 at 10:04 p.m. deputy spoke with several subjects that were in a parking lot near Highway 41 and Highway 49. A male subject was found to have an outstanding felony warrant out of Mariposa and arrested. A search of the subjects vehicle was conducted and suspected methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia was located. The male subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC on charges.

Coarsegold – Aggravated assault
On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 5:34 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the 32000 block of Highway 41 for a reported domestic violence incident. An investigation was completed an an arrest made. Subject was booked at Madera DOC on felony charges. Case forwarded to DA’s office for prosecution.

Coarsegold – Narcotics
On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 6:04 a.m. subject dropped white crystal substance at business on 46000 block of Lucky Lane. Subject contacted and charges filed with District Attorney.

North Fork – General incident
On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10:33 a.m. deputy dispatched to the 32000 block of Shamrock Lane regarding a welfare check on elderly couple. Case forward to Madera County Adult Protective Services for follow up.

Bass Lake – Simple assault
On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 1:02 p.m. deputy was dispatched to the 39000 block of Road 222 regarding a domestic disturbance. Male arrested and transported to Madera County Jail where he was booked without incident. Female released at the scene with charges to be filed against her. Emergency Protective Orders were issued for both subjects with good service. Case forward to the Madera County District Attorney for charges to be filed.

Coarsegold – Narcotics
On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 4:20 p.m. deputy was dispatched to the 46000 block of Lucky Lane in the County of Madera regarding a narcotic. An investigation was conducted and report written. Case suspended until further leads develop.

North Fork – Criminal threats
On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7:14 p.m. deputy was dispatched to the 56000 block of Road 226 in the County of Madera regarding criminal threats. An investigation was conducted and evidence collected. One subject was arrested and later booked into Madera DOC without incident.

Oakhurst – Arrest warrant
On Saturday, Oct. 5 at 9:08 p.m. deputy saw a subject in the area of Highway 41 and Highway 49 that had an outstanding felony warrant. The subject was arrested and booked into the Madera County DOC.

Oakhurst – Motor vehicle stop
On Sunday, Oct. 6 at 3:21 a.m. deputy conducted a traffic stop on a subject that was seen driving on an expired drivers license in the area of Royal Oaks and Highway 41. The male driver was arrested and issued a citation with a court date.

Oakhurst – General incident
On Monday, Oct. 7 at 11:35 a.m. deputy dispatched to the 42000 block of Old Yosemite Road in Oakhurst regarding found property. Report written, property obtained, and case closed.
