Last week State officials confirmed that issues with its electronic laboratory reporting system CalREDIE resulted in an under-reporting of positive cases statewide. Madera County Department of Public Health (MCDPH)worked quickly with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to identify potential data gaps and resolve issues. MCDPH has now successfully processed the backlogged cases which are reflected in today’s case count.
MCDPH continues to be committed to providing accurate information. The state is taking action to keep this from happening again including working with vendors to fine tune CalREDIE systems and and running simultaneous systems to provide a cross check on data validation and processing into the system.
