On Friday, April 5, Yosemite New Life Church in Oakhurst will be showing the movie “Miss Potter” starring Renee Zellweger portraying Beatrix Potter, a literary phenomenon of the early 20th century. The film begins at 6 p.m. at the church located at 40390 Junction Dr., Oakhurst.
Inspired by a true story set in Victorian England, the movie charts the life of Potter who created a series of children’s books and characters that are as beloved today as they were a hundred years ago and, since their publication, have never been out of print. The movie also stars Ewan McGregor and Emily Watson.
