County Residents to Receive Official Ballots for Upcoming Recall Election

MADERA COUNTY — Rebecca Martinez, County Clerk-Recorder & Registrar of Voters announced today that all registered voters in Madera County will be sent their Official Ballots for the upcoming September 14, 2021, California Gubernatorial Recall Election in the mail. Ballots will be mailed to voters beginning August 16th. Allow 2-5 days for delivery.

You can track your ballot! Ballot tracking is now available and it’s FREE! Ballot tracking is a service that will send you notice about your ballot including when it’s mailed, received, and counted. Know where your ballot is every step of the way! Go to www.wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov to sign up.

Great news! You will no longer have to place a stamp on your ballot envelope to return your ballot through the U.S. Mail. Voted ballots may also be returned at any Official County Ballot Drop Box or at any Vote Center in Madera County. It is highly recommended that you do not hand over your ballot to a stranger. If you decide not to mail or drop off your ballot personally, only give your ballot to someone you trust.

Avoid long lines. Vote before election day.

The back pages of your County Voter Information Guide show the Ballot Drop Box and Vote Center locations, dates, and hours of operation.

Don’t forget to sign your blue envelope. For this election, voted ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received within seven (7) days after the election to be considered timely.
