COARSEGOLD – When a fire broke out on Revis Drive in Yosemite Lakes Park today, those nearest the blaze called 911. But first they called the guy across the road. Kevin Olsen says he heard a crackling noise behind his house, and thought perhaps it sounded like a deer rubbing its antlers against something.

COARSEGOLD – A fire that scorched some 36 acres in Yosemite Lakes Park this afternoon has now been contained, according to the Mariposa Command Center. The call came in at 1:05 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, reporting a fire burning near several homes on Ranger Circle Drive just northeast of the golf course off Yosemite Springs Parkway.
