MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-49 (SR-49) and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
• One-way traffic control at Joe Howard Road for utility work beginning Saturday, April 27, through Sunday, April 28, 2024. The work will take place from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
STATE ROUTE 140
• One-way traffic control from Whitlock Road to El Portal Road for pavement work beginning Monday, April 22. The work will take place through Friday, April 26, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Briceburg to Savage Trading Post for pavement work beginning Sunday, April 21. The work will take place through Friday, April 26, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Bear Creek Bridge to Bull Creek Road for pavement work beginning Sunday, April 21. The work will take place through Friday, April 26, 2024, from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5–10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
The scheduled work may be subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather conditions, equipment/material availability, and construction-related issues.
