Multiple Health Issues
Shari has been through a very difficult year, beginning with sciatica. She went to as many doctors’ appointment as possible, but nothing seemed to help. Doctors concluded that Shari’s spine is compressed, and she needs surgery. In the meantime, it’s difficult for her to get around, and she is pretty much confined to her house. Doctor visits between Fresno and Stanford consumed her life. If that weren’t enough, her knee replacements because infected. Medication has not cured the infection because of diabetic complications.
Doctors have told Shari that the only solution is to remove the replacements, clean the infection and replace the knees—again. When they’ve done all that, they can discuss back surgery for the sciatica.

Check-in begins at 6:00pm, raffle drawing takes place at 7:00pm. Dinner is open seating. No entry without ticket purchase.

A $10.00 minimum monetary recipient gift is collected at the door, payable by cash or check. Please make checks payable to Shari Stoops. IMPORTANT: Dinner tickets do not include the $10 monetary recipient gift.
Raffle, silent, and/or live auction items available! Purchase prize drawing tickets at $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets. • ALL monies collected are gifted to our recipient, Shari.

- Interested in contributing a prize drawing or auction item? Drop off your gifts Tuesday thru Saturday from 10am-5pm at Tokens Gift & Thrift, 40410 Hwy 41 in Oakhurst. Contact a HOW Leader if you’re not able to deliver.
- You do not have to know our recipient to attend.
- Men & well-behaved children are welcome.
- Want to make your own nomination? Simply attend our HOW Dinner and complete a nomination form. One person may complete one nomination form per dinner, so bring friends! Not sure your recipient qualifies to be nominated? Contact us for more info.
- Shari will randomly draw next month’s nominee at the end of the evening
