OAKHURST — Crab Cakes Family Seafood Restaurant is in the process of being sold to new owners from across the bridge in Mariposa.
Crab Cakes’ owner Roman Zabicki confirmed this morning that he and wife Laura have sold their locals’ favorite family restaurant to Raymond and Jennifer Newman. The Newmans own the Charles Street Dinner House in Mariposa.
Roman said that the business is currently in escrow and set to close Sept. 30. The deal includes Crabcakes Restaurant, Roman’s Bar and Yosemite Catering. The deal does not include Sweet Dreams Cakes and Flowers which, Roman explains, is Laura’s business.
When asked what he intends to do after the Newmans take over on Oct. 1, Roman said succinctly, “Go work for my wife!”
