YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK–Yosemite National Park is announcing a change in the entry reservation end times for the remainder of the 2024 dates. As a result, reservation end times will now be 3:00 p.m. instead of the previous 4:00 p.m. time.
When Are Reservations Required?
Yosemite National Park requires a reservation to drive into or through the park between 5:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on certain days until October 27. Furthermore, the days from August 17th through October 27th are Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays (September 2 and October 14).
What Does This Mean for Visitors?
In fact, on the days that Yosemite requires reservations to enter, visitors can now enter the park without a reservation after 3:00 p.m. Therefore, this is a change from being able to enter the park without a reservation after 4:00 p.m.
How Do Visitors Make A Reservation?
Reservations for each day, including some for afternoon-only arrivals, will be available online at Recreation.gov. They will be available at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time, one week in advance of the arrival date. However, reservations will be taken almost immediately. Therefore, be sure to have a Recreation.gov account already. Then, log in before to get a reservation promptly at 8:00 a.m.
