MARIPOSA COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control and shoulder closures next week on State Route 140 (SR-140) and State Route 49 (SR-49) for maintenance operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 49
State Route 49 (SR-49)
- One-way traffic control at Country Road for utility work on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
State Route 140
State Route 140 (SR-140)
- Long-term full closure from Briceburg to Cranberry Gulch for slide removal work began Monday, March 17, 2025, at 10:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
