This is such a wonderful photograph that raises many questions for our Raymond group. What part of the railroad track was it taken, trying to judge from the hill and trees in background. Who could the children be on the granite? Where was this piece of Raymond granite heading? Was the “tooth pick” language carved on the granite or printed? What year? Judging from their clothes and the SP flat car number could we figure out close to the year this was taken? We would love any thoughts on this photograph!!! Thank you!

I believe tne granite at Sierra High came from Raymond. The students did too! Raymond is a neat little town to visit. Go for lunch.
