OAKHURST — Plans are moving forward for the new Oakhurst Community College Center, and the public is invited to attend a community forum where managers will provide an update on the project.
In 2016, voters approved Bond Measure C, addressing the needs of the State Center Community College District (SCCCD) and setting aside about $25 million for the new Oakhurst Community College Center (OCCC).
Earlier this year, the SCCCD Board approved the purchase of 30 acres of property located on the west side of Westlake Drive, north of Highway 49 in Oakhurst.
Those who attend the forum will hear an update on the new campus, including a presentation from the project’s architects.
The community meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 8 at the Oakhurst Community Center, from 6 – 8 p.m. The Oakhurst Community Center is located at 39800 Road 425B in Oakhurst.
