MARIPOSA COUNTY — To celebrate California Arts Education Month, Mariposa County is hosting a range of events aimed at showcasing and supporting the youth art scene. Here’s a detailed look at the schedule for the Week of Art.
Day Camp Registration
Join the Arts Council and SFC team for the debut of the Art + Enviro Day Camp mini-documentary and a Q+A session for the 2025 registration.

Ethos Youth Art & Music Show
An afternoon of live music, local art, collaborative art projects, and an open mic, with snacks and drinks provided.

Poetry Reading
Enjoy a celebration of poetry with Mariposa County’s Poetry Out Loud county champion, Spirit DeWitt, and readings by visiting poet Mukethe Kawinzi.

In Frame Opening Reception
The opening of the In Frame youth art show with light refreshments, celebrating young artists from across the county.

Throughout the week, the community can actively support arts education by participating in a fundraiser that aims to raise $1,500. These funds will provide students with the creative tools they need. Attendees can make donations at any event or online through the Mariposa Arts Council’s website.
The Week of Art is supported by the Mariposa Library, Ethos, Mariposa County Unified School District, and Sierra Foothill Conservancy, with funding from the County of Mariposa, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the California Arts Council.
