Traffic Restrictions Next Week in Mariposa County

TRAFFIC ADVISORY – Traffic Restrictions Next Week in Mariposa County

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has the following work scheduled on State Routes 49 and 140 next week in Mariposa County.

Route 49
• The right shoulder will be closed from the California Ranger Station to Joe Howard Road for utility work beginning Monday, March 27, through Friday, March 31, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Long-term, one-way traffic control will continue at Bagby Vista Point for slide removal. There is no estimated time when the road will be fully reopened.

Route 140
• Long-term full highway closure from Foresta Road to El Portal Road due to slide removal. Motorists are being detoured at Foresta Road and El Portal Road.
• One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign work from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

Motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays and are advised to find alternate routes if possible.
