Traffic Restrictions Next Week in Mariposa County

MARIPOSA COUNTYThe California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has the following work scheduled on State Routes 49 and 140 next week in Mariposa County.

Route 49
• One-way traffic control from Drunken Gulch Road to Bagby Recreation Area for geotechnical work beginning Sunday, April 23, through Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Drunken Gulch Road to the Mariposa/Tuolumne county line for drainage cleaning/inspection beginning Monday, April 24, through Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• Moving lane closure from Fairgrounds Road to Miami Mountain Road for sweeping operations from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2023.

• Moving lane closure from Miami Mountain Road to Aqua Fria Road in Mariposa for sweeping operations from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

Route 140
• One-way traffic control from Buffalo Gulch Road to Foresta Road for slide removal beginning Sunday, April 23, through Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

• Moving lane closure from Miller Road to Indian Gulch Road for sweeping operations from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2023.

• Moving lane closure from Indian Gulch Road to Triangle Road for sweeping operations from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Motorists should expect 5- to 10-minute delays and are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to begin as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, equipment and/or materials availability, and construction-related issues.
