One-way Traffic Control on State Routes 49 and 140
MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various operations next week on State Routes 49 and 140.
Work is scheduled as follows:
• One-way traffic control for utility work from the California Ranger Station to Joe Howard Road beginning Monday, December 5, through Friday, December 9, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control for utility work from the road to Old Highway to Bear Valley Point from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022.
• One-way traffic control at various points from the Merced County line to Trower Road for highway construction from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. beginning Monday, December 5, through Friday, December 9, 2022.
• One-way traffic control from Hummingbird Lane to Martin Road for utility work from 8:00 a.m. to 4;00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2022.
Motorists should expect 10-minute delays at times and are advised to use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to begin as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials, and construction-related issues.
