Traffic Advisory for District 10: One-Way Traffic Controls Next Week

MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-132, & SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

  • One-way traffic control from Miller Road to South State Route 140 for electrical work beginning Sunday, May 17, through Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to County Road for utility work on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to Shilling Road for traffic signal work beginning Monday, May 18, through Saturday, May 22, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

STATE ROUTE 132

  • One-way traffic control from the Tuolumne/Mariposa County line to Black Oak for utility work beginning Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control just west of State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage work beginning Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

STATE ROUTE 140

  • One-way traffic control from Miller Road to Fourth Street for electrical work beginning Sunday, May 17, through Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or construction related issues.
