TRAFFIC ADVISORY – District 10, Mariposa County

One-Way Traffic Controls Next Week

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-132, & SR-140 in Mariposa County this week.

Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

• One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to Shilling Road for traffic signal work beginning Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control at Stumpfield Mountain Road for utility work on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from the Merced River Bridge to Shilling Road for traffic signal work on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from County Road to Penon Blanco Road for utility work beginning Thursday, April 23, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Vista Point to Crown Lead Road for utility work on Saturday April 25, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

STATE ROUTE 132

• One-way traffic control just west of State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage work beginning Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

 

STATE ROUTE 140

• One-way traffic control from Savage Trading Post to Yosemite Cedar Lodge for slope work beginning Wednesday, April 8, through Sunday, April 19, 2026. • One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• One-way traffic control from Bear Creek Bridge to Crane Creek for shoulder work beginning Monday, April 20, through Friday, April 24, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

 

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.

This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or construction related issues.
