FRESNO — Looking for a new job or know someone who is? Online retailer Amazon is building a reportedly 855,000-square-foot fulfillment facility in Fresno near Central and Orange, and they’re holding a three-day Hiring Fair to support it.
The Hiring Fair will take place at the Doubletree Hotel in downtown Fresno starting on Tuesday, Jan. 16, and running through Thursday, Jan. 18, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The e-commerce giant is said to be hiring hundreds of people in positions including management, maintenance, engineering and technicians, in a variety of departments. Some positions are being held specifically for military veterans.
Amazon is partnering with JLL for the Fulfillment Center in Fresno, the companies have announced. JLL is a leading professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management, according to their website. A Fortune 500 company, JLL says it helps real estate owners, occupiers and investors achieve their business ambitions.
“There is no cost to attend the Hiring Fair and we will have our hiring managers there to discuss the opportunities in more detail,” says a rep for JLL.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Fresno Convention Center is located at 2233 Ventura Street in Fresno.
