FRIANT — Get ready to tee up for a good cause, especially if your blood runs Badger blue. Organized by the Badger Baseball Boosters to support Yosemite High School Baseball and the Yosemite Colts Travel Baseball Team, the annual Ted Lilly Golf Tournament will take place at Eagle Springs Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 13.  The cost is $125 per player, with a light breakfast, as well as dinner and a live auction. Contests will include a hole-in-one, closest-to-the-pin, straight-drive, and long-drive.

Lilly is a YHS graduate and former Major League Baseball player who enjoyed a highly successful 15-year career, which included two nods to the MLB All-Star Game and 130 career wins. He’s also a loyal supporter of YHS and Madera County athletics programs and it’s with his support that the Boosters are able to hold this important annual fundraiser.

Like most good things, it’s a group effort, as Boosters president Robin Ward explains.

“I would like to thank Ted Lilly for his support of YHS baseball, the Badgers Baseball Boosters for their tireless efforts to get this tournament off the ground, and to our awesome community who have really stepped up for the benefit of our kids,” says Ward. “I am proud to be part of such an amazing group of people. We still have availability for this

Sponsors include Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino, Miller’s Landing, Tenaya Lodge, Fresno Lexus, Steve’s Chevrolet, and Roger Dunn Golf Shop.
