MARIPOSA COUNTY

Mariposa County Unified School District
School Delay Announcement Due to Inclement Weather
Dear School Community,
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Mariposa County and is expected to last through Thursday until 4:00 AM. Due to anticipated inclement weather conditions we are implementing a 2-hour delay for all Mariposa County Schools on January 11, 2024. Please be advised we are in collaboration with our State and Local partners as we review weather and road conditions.
Safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
We encourage all students, parents, and staff to exercise caution while commuting and to stay tuned for any further updates. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of our school community.

Sierra Foothill Charter School

Two Hour Delay
School will begin at 10:25am and end at the regular time of 3:15pm. The bus will run exactly 2 hours late.

MADERA COUNTY

Bass Lake School District

1/11/24 – This is Robert Dias, MOT Director for Bass Lake School informing you that OES, OCI, Wasuma, and Fresno Flats will be on a 2 hour Bus and Class delay due to the current weather road conditions. Thank you and have a nice day.

Yosemite Unified School District

Bus Route #5 will be on a 2 hour delay today, January 11th, 2024, due to icy road conditions. All other routes will be on their normally scheduled times.

Sierra Charter Schools

ROAD CONDITIONS

Roads are icy and slick this morning. Remember to give yourself extra time to get to your destination and it takes longer to stop, start and turn!
10:40 AM
A traffic collision has occurred on Road 222 and Pettitt Road involving 2 vehicles. There is some lane blockage. Medical assistance and tow truck are enroute.
A vehicle has slid off the road at Triangle Road and Tip Top Road. Emergency vehicles are enroute along with a tow truck.
9:56 PM
A traffic collision involving 2 vehicles is being reported on Highway 49 and Worman Road. There is lane blockage so please use caution in the area. Injuries are unknown at this time.
A traffic hazard is being reported on Highway 41 and Cedar Valley Drive. A vehicle is stuck due to the icy conditions.

08:38 AM

A single vehicle accident is being reported on Road 200 at Mountain View Peak Road in Madera County. A vehicle has slid off the road due to the icy conditions. Injuries are unknown at this time. UPDATE: The location for this has been updated to Road 200 and Fine Gold Creek.
