Virtual Open Houses For Recreation Technician Hiring Event

SONORA–The Stanislaus and Sierra National Forest will host two virtual open house events in support of the recreation technician hiring event currently underway.

“We understand the USAJobs platform isn’t always the easiest to navigate, especially for those unfamiliar with the government hiring process,” explained Stanislaus National Forest Administrative Officer Shandy Bearden. “And we are doing everything in our power to assist those interested in working for the Forest Service navigate that platform as well as have the opportunity to speak with existing recreation technicians and other forest service employees about what a day in the life might look like.”

In addition to the open houses being held on Friday, March 24, and Tuesday, March 28, a series of helpful job seeker-related videos are available on the Stanislaus National Forest’s employment page: https://www.fs.usda.gov/main/stanislaus/about-forest/jobs.

Individuals interested in attending one of the open house events should contact Shandy Bearden (shandy.bearden@usda.gov) or Benjamin Cossel(Benjamin.cossel@usda.gov) on the Stanislaus National Forest or Barbara Fleming (barbara.fleming@usda.gov) on the Sierra National Forest. The events will be hosted via the MS Teams platform, and invitations can be sent to those who express interest.
