OAKHURST — Women of Soroptimist International of The Sierras invite the community to their Spring Soup and Salad Luncheon on Thursday, March. 15. The fundraising feast and festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Oakhurst Community Center.

All are welcome to join the luncheon which includes a salad bar, fresh fruit, a variety of veggie, pasta and potato salads, two kinds of soups and toppings, ice tea and coffee choices. The Soroptimist famous homemade lemon cake will be sweetly served for dessert.
Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased from any Soroptimist member, at the door or online at this link. Take-out will also be offered and may be picked up at the Oakhurst Community Center.
One of the day’s highlights is an abundance of raffle items, featuring products and services generously donated by individuals and businesses in the community. You can also be on the lookout for tickets to Disneyland, San Francisco Pier 39 and Gilroy Gardens. The raffle will begin promptly at 1 p.m. and one does not need to be present to win.
Soroptimist International of The Sierras has two fundraising events each year. Proceeds go to Soroptimist scholarships for high school and college students through community awards and the Live Your Dream College Grants for Women. The organization also sponsors the Dream It Be It Girls Conference and other community projects throughout the year.
