MOUNTAIN COMMUNITIES — Hello artists! The Call to Artists for Sierra Art Trails 2023 has begun! They are exceptionally excited as this year is their 20th anniversary and are thrilled to share two decades of artistic excellence with their artists, patrons, and supporters. Let’s celebrate together!
The Sierra Art Trails Open Studio Tour is eagerly anticipated by a loyal audience. Visitors are encouraged to explore our communities, meet the artists in person, and purchase works directly from them.
As an artist, there are many reasons to participate in this prestigious event. This exhibit is the largest art event in our area, showcasing a wide range of fine art and fine craft in communities throughout Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties.
Participating artists are featured in the tour catalog, included in a month-long Preview Exhibit, and benefit from an extensive advertising campaign. While successful sales are important, the promotional exposure alone is worth the cost of participation. Networking opportunities, offers to participate in other exhibits, and post-show sales often result from showcasing your work during Sierra Art Trails.
Artists interested in applying should click here to view the prospectus.
The 2023 artist’s application is on Smarter Entry.
If you need help with the application, or have questions about the show, they are available to help! Please call 559-658-8844 or e-mail admin@sierraarttrails.org.

About Sierra Art Trails
Sierra Art Trails is a 501c4 Non-profit organization dedicated to supporting working artists and artisans by promoting and showcasing their work. Each year, the organization produces the annual Yosemite Foothills Open Studio Tour, and a number of other unique art exhibits and art related events.
Sierra Art Trails raises funds for student scholarships, public arts, awards for artists and art organizations, and a unique student sponsorship program. Through these activities they seek to educate the public about the importance of the arts in our lives, and the role that artists play in building and maintaining a vibrant culture.
By participating in the tour as an artist or as a visitor, you are supporting the arts, and benefiting our foothill communities by helping us to maintain a thriving creative community! The majority of Sierra Art Trails artists live and work in the area, but artists from outside the area can participate!
Sierra Art Trails is a grass roots effort! If you would like to contribute as a volunteer or sponsor, please let them know! Thank you for your participation and support.
