Riding for a Reason: Annual Bike Blessing Fuels Support for Helping Hands

The roar of motorcycles will once again echo through Oakhurst as the 19th Annual Bike Blessing and Benefit Run rolls into town on Saturday, June 6, bringing together riders, families, churches, and community supporters for a day centered on fellowship and giving back.

Hosted by the Central Sierra Chapter of Bikers for Christ Motorcycle Ministry, the annual event will take place at Mountain Christian Center in Oakhurst, with all proceeds benefiting Helping Hands Pregnancy Resource Center in Oakhurst and Mariposa.

The event has become something of a tradition in the mountain community, drawing motorcycle enthusiasts from across the region while also welcoming people who simply want to support a local cause. Organizers emphasize that the event is open to everyone — riders and non-riders alike — and that all types of motorcycles are welcome.

The day begins with registration and a complimentary breakfast at 9 a.m., followed by the official Blessing of the Bikes ceremony at 10 a.m. Riders will then head out on the benefit run at approximately 10:30 a.m. The cost is $25 per rider and $15 per passenger.

Along with the ride itself, attendees can expect a full day of community activities including lunch, live music,Photo of flyer for the 19th Annual Bike Blessing. raffles, prizes, vendors, a silent auction, and a motorcycle show with free entry.

While the motorcycles may be the visual centerpiece of the day, organizers say the real focus is supporting Helping Hands, a local nonprofit that provides parenting resources, pregnancy support services, education, and assistance for families in the mountain area.

The event is hosted by Bikers For Christ Motorcycle Ministry, part of an international motorcycle ministry organization that uses motorcycle outreach, fellowship, and charitable events to serve communities and support local causes. The annual Oakhurst event has steadily grown over nearly two decades and has become a familiar early-summer gathering in the foothill and mountain region.

For many participants, the event is about more than motorcycles. It is a chance to connect with the broader community, support local services, and enjoy a day in the Sierra alongside fellow riders and families.

The 19th Annual Blessing of the Bikes and Benefit Run will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Mountain Christian Center, located at 40299 Highway 49 in Oakhurst. Additional information is available through the event organizers at 209-626-6791.
