Notice of Public Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Madera Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), Madera, California, will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at 3 p.m. to discuss the following:
- Municipal Service Review (MSR) of all the special districts within the Communities of Bass Lake and North Fork and nearby Residential Developments. A Municipal Service Review (MSR) is a document that studies the provision of local services within a given area and recommends ways to provide services more efficiently. The area contains two County Service Areas, 20 County Maintenance Districts, and four privately owned water districts. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the Municipal Service Review for the Bass Lake/North Fork area.
- A Public Workshop regarding a Resolution by the Madera County Board of Supervisors initiating a Reorganization proposing the Dissolution of County Service Area No. 21 and the simultaneous Formation of an Independent Special District (Recreation and Park District) in the community of Cascadel Woods. A Municipal Service Review (MSR) of all the special districts in the Cascadel Woods Area has been prepared to address the proposed Reorganization.
The Staff Reports and MSRs will be viewable on the Madera County Website at https://www.maderacounty.com/government/madera-lafco seven days prior to the date of the meeting.
The MSRs will also be available at the North Fork Branch Library (32908 Road 222, North Fork) and the Oakhurst Branch Library (49044 Civic Circle, Oakhurst).
